The Kirk View Foundation that manages The Kirk View School comprises eminent personalities in the sphere of education and child development.



Mrs Manjulika Chatterjee

Founder Principal of Kirk View Kindergarten, Mrs Manjulika Chatterjee has 40 years of experience dealing with pre-schoolers. She has experience in setting up and establishing schools, and has worked as a teacher in Msingi Bora Kindergarten, Nairobi (Kenya) from 1976 to 1981. Mrs Manjulika Chatterjee returned to India in 1981 to set up Kirk View Kindergarten. She completed her Montessori training under Professor Justin – the personal representative of Maria Montessori in Kolkata - in 1974.






Mrs Ranu Banerjee

Chairperson of the Foundation, Mrs Ranu Banerjee has a MS degree in Education from Purdue University (USA). A recipient of the Rotary Foundation Scholarship for Teacher of the Handicapped, she is a mentor of several community based projects in West Bengal, and is a trusted evaluator of educational projects. She also has had a stint as Instructor for Education for the Developmentally Young (EDY) at Manchester University (UK).






Mr Prabuddha Chatterjee

The Founder Secretary of the Kirk View Trust, Mr Prabuddha Chatterjee has been pivotal in the expansion plans of The Kirk View School and Foundation. Mr Prabuddha Chatterjee brings with him two decades of experience in project management and the vision of the school has been sustained by his incessant effort. He has kept the school in sync with changing times. An advocate of matching conventional teaching methods with information technology tools, Mr Prabuddha Chatterjee is currently focusing on bridging the wide chasm of urban and rural learning. .





Maj Gen (Retd) SN Mukherjee

The Treasurer of the Kirk View Trust, Maj Gen (Retd) SN Mukherjee is the former Vice Chancellor of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior. An extremely dedicated, highly motivated former officer of the Indian Army, he has post-graduate degrees in Engineering and Management and holds an M Phil in management. Mr Mukherjee has held the posts of President, Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), Colonel Commandant, NCC and Member Executive Council, Banaras Hindu University.





Mr Arun Kr.Bhattacharjee

Mr Arun Kr.Bhattacharjee served with the United Nations Environment Programme and in the Office of the Executive Director, UN Centre for Human Settlements in Nairobi (Kenya), and has held eminent positions such as Assistant Director, Press Institute of India; Joint Director, Centre for Science and Environment, Delhi and Ex-Fellow, Institute of Defense Studies and Analysis, New Delhi.

Mr Arun Kr.Bhattacharjee has many publications to his credit and has been the Bureau Chief of leading media outlets.






Mr RP Chatterjee

Mr RP Chatterjee has been working in the FMCG sector for the past 25 years. Envisaging the need for the expansion plans of The Kirk View School and Foundation, Mr RP Chatterjee has combined planning and project management skills with an eye on possible future projects with communities. Apart from working with leading MNCs like Nestle, Cadbury and PZ Cussons, he has actively contributed to non-conventional energy projects in Nigeria. His work with MNCs has given him a detailed understanding of corporate social responsibility.







Dr Reena Sen

Dr Reena Sen is the Executive Director of the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy, Kolkata. Armed with a PG Diploma and Masters from the Institute of Education and a PhD in ‘Reading: Factors Associated with Progress’ from the University of London, Dr Reena Sen specializes in literacy learning and intervention for specific difficulties in reading, writing, spelling and handwriting. Dr Reena Sen provides support to Kolkata schools for academic, emotional and behavioral problems through direct assessment, guidance for parents and teacher training. She has published several papers and received prestigious awards. She also teaches in the Calcutta University Teachers Training Certificate programme offered by the Modern Academy of Continuing Education, and provides consultancy inputs in the Rehabilitation Council of India and other academic bodies.
